For more than fifty years, the Ella Sharp Museum has relied on the loyal support of dedicated volunteers. Volunteers help us realize our mission and engage the community in the best of art, history, and science.
If you’d like to be part of the museum, volunteering could be right for you. We provide all training and materials, and volunteer meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the month at 10:30 am and 5:30 pm.
Volunteers participate in our annual events, contribute to interpretive programming, assist in the collections department, and help with fund development and administrative tasks. Becoming a volunteer also provides an opportunity to get to know the staff at the Ella Sharp and Cell Block 7 and gain a greater understanding of what happens behind the scenes at these museums.
If you have volunteered in the past, thank you! If you would like to become involved, please contact Jena Smoyer, Volunteer and Membership Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 517-787-2320 x 242.
