The staff of the Ella Sharp Museum invites you to our annual Great Volunteer Kickoff on Thursday, September 10 at 5:30 pm.
Museum volunteers operate the Friends Gift Shop, give tours of Ella’s Hillside Farmhouse and the galleries, work with children’s art activities, tell stories, assist the collections department in research projects and data entry, stuff and mail Museum newsletters, demonstrate woodworking skills, tend flower gardens, host receptions-the list is ever growing and ever appreciated.
For four decades the Museum has benefited from the loyal support of dedicated volunteers. The Friends of the Ella Sharp Museum meet once monthly September through June for a luncheon and program on second Mondays. The Friends elect an annual board with appointed committees.
Volunteers work in assisting various aspects of Museum programs, support, and in behind-the-scenes areas. Training and materials are provided by the Museum and offered by specific departments on an ongoing, as-needed basis. Volunteers are members of the Ella Sharp Museum and are recognized at an annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon prepared and served by Museum staff.
There is a volunteer meeting the 3rd Thursday of every month at 10:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.!
If you think you might have the time, a skill, or enthusiasm to be an Ella volunteer, contact the Museum at firstname.lastname@example.org or call the museum at 517-787-2320.
