Facility Rental Assistant

The Ella Sharp Museum seeks a facility rental assistant that will staff rental events at Ella Sharp Museum and serves as lead bartender. With a focus on logistics and customer service, the Assistant organizes supplies in advance of events such as weddings, corporate meetings, fundraisers, and bridal showers and tends bar as necessary. Occasionally supervises contracted bartending staff, sets up tables and chairs, and interact with a variety of museum guests. Evening and weekends availability required. Click here to learn more.

Docent (Museum Tour Guide)

The Ella Sharp Museum is seeking a contract tour guide to support school and public programs throughout 2019. The primary purpose of this position is to provide a welcoming, engaging environment and rewarding learning experience to museum visitors through guided tours and supervised activities. A multi-day training will be provided. This is a contract position and will work between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. (Monday-Friday). History Gallery Intern

The Ella Sharp Museum is pleased to offer a paid internship opportunity for a qualified graduate-level candidate.

We are currently seeking a collections intern to assist in depth with the deconstruction, cataloging, research, and rehousing of our Jackson History gallery and all objects within as we transition to a new major exhibit. This is a fantastic opportunity to engage in several different aspects of collections care and gain rounded experience in the curatorial field. Click here to learn more
