COVID March

Beauty is in the mundane. Pastels are my medium. For this submission, I was in a line of about 35 people to enter Trader Joes in Ann Arbor. All of us on our sidewalk X outside, Moving slowly steadily forward to purchase our foods. I looked into a vacant barber shop, and saw my image…all dressed in black, with cars and shops in the back of me. My sisters say I look like Darth Vader. Agreed. Evil Darth Vader, Evil Covid19. But still with hope from the kindness of staff, cleaning , all of us in our mask. gloves. trying to be safe. My one image, away from total beauty of nature in my other pastels, is this. a lonely figure , covered for protection from an unknown invader.
