Ella Sharp Museum Members, Donors and Educators! You are invited to the museum for a fun evening to celebrate the process of manufacturing and our new exhibit, How People Make Things. Join us on the “factory floor” where you can:
- Create objects using real tools and machines that explore the manufacturing process of molding, cutting, deforming, and assembly
- Discover how familiar objects — Vans sneakers, Matchbox Cars, and baseballs — are transformed from raw materials to finished products with their manufacturing process
- See real manufacturing factories with Fred Rogers in vintage Picture Picture videos from the original Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood series

Exhibit: How People Make Things
Discover how familiar childhood objects are made along with how people, ideas, and technology transform raw materials into finished products. How People Make Things places visitors on the “factory floor” to create objects with real tools while learning about the manufacturing process. Locally presented by Alros Steel and supported by the Charles Aymond Fund, the exhibit is hands-on amazing!
