Wednesdays are for Family Field Trips!
Ella Sharp Museum is welcoming all Jackson Public families, every Wednesday, for a FREE family field trip to the Ella! JPS families can safely visit our site to utilize Wi-Fi in the Hurst Planetarium (sign up at ellasharpmuseum.org/JPS or by calling 517-787-2320), explore our museum galleries, enjoy a planetarium show (must pre-register), and walk the museum grounds.
Students must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Families can experience:
- The night sky during a planetarium show.
- Changing art, science, and history exhibits, permanent exhibits of Jackson history, wildlife art, and a clock collection.
- Historic Farm lane and the museum’s outdoor sculptures.
Online Registration
Wi-Fi Sign-up in the Hurst Planetarium:
Families must sign up to utilize Wi-Fi in the Hurst Planetarium. Wi-Fi is offered for a one-hour period starting at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. or 12 p.m. *All students must be accompanied by an adult for the entire timeframe.*
Date: Offered every Wednesday through June 9 (Wi-Fi registrations must be filled out for every week of use)
Time: 10 a.m., 11 a.m., or 12 p.m.
*Pre-registration required. Capacity is limited to four families per 1-hour block.*

Hurst Planetarium Show:
Families can explore the night sky during a planetarium show. *All students must be accompanied by an adult for the entire timeframe.*

Planetarium Showtimes: 1:30 p.m. or 2:30 p.m.
