On Display until December 31, 2026

Earthpulse is a site-specific installation by artist Ashwini Bhat featuring hand-formed sculptures created from unfired clay.

Inspired by landscapes, ecology, and humanity’s connection to the natural world, Bhat’s work invites visitors to slow down, observe, and reflect on the relationship between people and the environment. The use of unfired clay creates an evolving, tactile experience that emphasizes the natural qualities of the material itself.

The exhibition also extends beyond the gallery through a collaborative art experience. Visitors are invited to create their own small clay sculptures, which are embedded with native Michigan wildflower seeds. As the clay returns to the earth, the sculptures connect artistic expression with environmental stewardship and offer visitors an opportunity to leave a living contribution behind.

Through Earthpulse, Bhat encourages us to consider our place within the natural world and the ways art can create a deeper connection to the environment around us.
