Stars in Her Eyes
The circumstances of today have put us all in a unique position. One of the most obvious changes is how we interact with one another in public, and the way in which wearing a face mask creates a barrier in our ability to read non-verbal cues from others. It’s amazing what a difference it makes when you can’t tell if someone is smiling at you as they walk by or when they say hello. Suddenly, what we communicate with our eyes has become more important now than ever before. Although I should have considered it in my pre-pandemic life, I never realized how a simple piece of fabric could make such an impact on basic human interactions.
