Keep a Place for Me Reception

Join us on Thursday, April 23rd at 6:00pm for Ella Sharp Museum’s Keep a Place for Me Exhibition Reception.
Keep a Place for Me brings together the work of more than a dozen artists from Michigan, Wisconsin, and New York who transform reclaimed and found materials into powerful works of art. Embracing themes of memory, resilience, and beauty within the worn and weathered, the exhibition explores the poetry of the unsettled and the melancholic. Through inventive reuse and tactile surfaces, Keep a Place for Me presents stories at edge of acceptance.
Guests can enjoy a cash bar while viewing the gallery with a special appearance by Guest Artist, Tom Fruin. This event is free, but please register by April 16th!
Jackson County FREE Museum Day

Ella Sharp Museum is excited to participate in Experience Jackson’s beloved Jackson County FREE Museum Day on Saturday, May 9th!
Museums from all over Jackson County, Michigan welcome visitors to experience all there is to offer at their locations, all with free admission from 10 am until 4 pm at each location.
At the Ella, guests can enjoy a walk down historic Farmlane, explore all of the outbuildings and Ella’s Farmhouse, and catch periodic screenings at the Hurst Planetarium. Popcorn Charlie will also be up and running throughout the day.
We are also partnering with Jackson County ISD for a huge book giveaway, located in Community Room.
Intentionally planned on Mother’s Day weekend Free Museum Day is a great opportunity for families to get together and experience Jackson County’s art, history, transportation and more!
Annual 21st Art, Beer, & Wine Festival

Ella Sharp Museum is bringing back the 21st Annual Art, Beer & Wine Festival, and it’s bigger, tastier, and more fun than ever. Michigan breweries, wineries, cider mills, and distillers. Local food you’ll be thinking about for weeks. Artists, music, and the kind of atmosphere that turns into “remember that day at Ella Sharp…”
Stroll the historic farm lane with a drink in hand. Dance in the field. Snap photos with the sculptures. Try something new. Go back for seconds. Repeat.
And the best part? Every sip and every ticket supports Ella Sharp Museum’s programs, education, and upcoming exhibits. You’re having a blast and supporting something that matters.
Ella’s Patio Party

Summer nights are best spent relaxing outside with friends while enjoying food, drinks, and music. And what better place to do that than at an Ella Sharp Museum Patio Party?
Kick off the season and start the summer right at our first Patio Party on Thursday, June 18th, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. Enjoy live music, good food, and refreshing drinks with friends and our museum community.
Look forward to a cash bar, delicious food, and top-tier entertainment from local musician, Marcus Shelton. Complementary food is included with your ticket purchase.
