Jackson County Museum Day
Join ten participating Jackson County, Michigan museums, including Ella Sharp Museum, for a free day on Saturday, May 8 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Visitors to Ella Sharp Museum can enjoy the museum galleries, historic farm lane, a show in the Hurst Planetarium and enjoy a Hillside Farmhouse tour (SOLD OUT). Planetarium shows and Farmhouse tours will be offered every hour on the hour. Tours run from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. with the last admittance at 3 p.m. Please use the form below to pre-register for a planetarium show and/or house tour. Food truck, Tiki Sam’s Pizza, will be set up outdoors on Farm lane for visitors to purchase food and beverages.
Ella Sharp Museum will be giving away a Museum Day gift basket the features giveaways from each participating museum and event host, Experience Jackson and the Arts and Cultural Alliance.
Face masks and social distancing required. Capacity is limited: 300 visitors on the grounds, 4-5 individuals per house tour, and 25 person capacity for planetarium shows.
NEW this year: As part of a virtual experience for guests unable to attend in person, each museum will also premier brand new museum videos featuring highlights, exhibits, history and fun facts about their museum. Tune into Experience Jackson’s Facebook page to view the videos.
