Earthpulse by Ashwini Bhat Opening Exhibition Reception

Celebrate the opening of Earthpulse, an extraordinary new installation at Ella Sharp Museum by artist Ashwini Bhat, whose sculptural work explores our profound connection to the natural world.

Join us for an evening of art, conversation, and community as we gather together to welcome Ashwini Bhat to Ella Sharp Museum and commemorate the opening of this immersive exhibition. Guests will have the opportunity to experience Earthpulse firsthand while enjoying light refreshments and a cash bar.

Created on-site using raw, unfired clay, Earthpulse transforms the gallery into a contemplative landscape that reflects the cycles of nature, renewal, and our relationship with the earth. The exhibition also invites visitors to participate through an interactive component, encouraging personal reflection and creative engagement.

Whether you’re a longtime museum supporter, an art enthusiast, or discovering Ashwini Bhat’s work for the first time, you don’t want to miss this remarkable shared experience and celebration.

About Earthpulse

Earthpulse is a site-specific installation by artist Ashwini Bhat featuring hand-formed sculptures created from unfired clay. Inspired by landscapes, ecology, and humanity’s interconnectedness with the natural world, the exhibition encourages visitors to slow down, observe, and reflect. Throughout the exhibition, guests can contribute to a collaborative art experience by creating their own small clay sculptures embedded with native Michigan wildflower seeds, connecting artistic expression with environmental stewardship.
