First Fridays: Michigan’s Most Dangerous Inmate with Tobin Buhk

June 7 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Author Tobin T. Buhk joins us at Cell Block 7 to talk about his newest book ‘Pardonable Matricide.’ The author will detail the story of Robert Irving Latimer, an inmate in Michigan’s prison system from ca 1893. Latimer ended up in prison for killing his mother, and ended up murdering a guard while incarcerated, only to be later pardoned by the governor of Michigan.

This event is part of our ‘First Fridays’ series. In 2019 experience the Ella Sharp Museum, Cell Block 7, and Peter F. Hurst Planetarium in new and exciting ways. Starting in March, every first Friday of the month will feature a unique event highlighting a special part of the museum in a different way.

Price: Every First Friday is $10, or $15 for two. Admission is free for members of the Ella Sharp Museum.
