Living History at Hillside
Experience a day in the 1880s learning about urban and rural lifestyles and how they differ from today. Our costumed docents utilize an active learning approach that permits students to learn by doing hands-on tasks and chores, without the aid of modern conveniences and technology. Our log house, Ella’s farmhouse, the woodshop and Dibble schoolhouse will provide the perfect historical backdrop for students to foster an interest in history and why it’s so important to us. This is a four and a half hour field trip, reservations required.
